Don't Freeze: A Winter Card Survival

I reached end of content (current stage of early access). I'll break my comments into the positive, the negative, and the just plain strange: Positive: -A tight survival game with enough pressure to be fun without being frustrating (except for the save-losing crashes, see below). -Nice music that helps carry the mood of the story (such as it is so far). Negative: I hope most of this will be gone by the time this leaves early access. -I lost two saves to crashes/bugs. Until you've gotten it debugged, you really should have a backup system so that if it crashes it will load from that and not corrupt the file. Yes, that will make it easier to "cheat", but better that than losing a save to a bug. -The metaprogression system felt at odds with the survival genre, though at least it's easy to avoid using it. -Running out the dynamo flashlight doesn't fulfill the objective if you do so at a campfire. That needs to be either fixed, or the objective changed to match the behavior if the behavior is intended. -The ravens are promising something significant, but never deliver (yet). -There's a warmth dial in the upper right with hunger, thirst, and sanity, but it always stays at full, eve…

Pretty buggy that has cost me the a lot of far progress since it forced me to start over. if there was a feature to save multiple slots that might help. but overall pretty fun

Juggling warmth, resources, crafting, and survival decisions created a surprisingly tense loop where every mistake mattered. Good game fills a niche feeling you can't get with other games, just needs more quality Development time to fine tune everything and roll out the content. Game Dev is active on community and takes Feedback and suggestions well, that's a big plus.

My only criticism is that there's not more of it yet. Can't wait for more gameplay/locations to be added and see what the dev team does!!
