About Doors

Doors is a first person linear puzzle game where you open doors by solving puzzles involving clones. There different doors with unique mechanics. Manipulating clones will be your bread and butter, swapping with them, destroying them, stacking them. Anti-Clone zones will destroy your clones. Anti-Player zones will destroy you, Anti-Swap zones prevent swapping. This is a short indie game developed by one person with a singular vision. I hope you enjoy it.

"Doors" is a very poorly made first person puzzle game with a gimmick revolving around using clones to solve some of the puzzles, a bit of "die and retry to change the level" stuff... it's hard to say much about the puzzles themselves because the technical delivery here is so laughably bad the game is impossible to get into. I mean, the screenshots make this look bad enough, but it's even worse inside the game. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D graphics which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "f…

I played today and made it to Room 31. This is a great game, time passed super quickly. Before I knew it I had spent a whole hour on the game and had gotten through a lot of rooms. There were some times when the game glitched me into the walls and I learned that in some rooms the glass in climbable. not sure if climbable walls is on purpose, if it isn't than I must recommend the idea of ceilings. But within the first 10 rooms, there's a maze and I kept getting stuck in the walls and rest two. Other than that this game is awesome. Totally recommend. I want to add onto this and say that when you look either down or up too much, it turns the POV upside down. When it's not doing that, it inverts your controls. Other than that it's a great game.

Great first publication voice lines are funny but not overbearing and the puzzles genuinely stumped me in a rewarding way. Can not wait to see what you release next!

Good ambiance, great puzzles, and fantastic radio sounds. 12 out of 10 doors can't wait for Doors 2: Windows Edition.
