About DoppelTest
DoppelTest is a gentle adventure game where you quietly watch over the intertwined lives of a human and a robot for 14 days.
Humans care for robots, and robots care for humans.
The story is made to unfold in an atmosphere of gentle kindness. The characters are just as unique as the world itself:
A teacher who can't schold a student's robot in their place,
a maintenance engineer incapable of remembering a face she saw a day ago,
a guide robot that always tries to dodge paperwork...
All with distinctive personalities you'll get to learn about as you play.As the player, your job will be to decide which tasks—such as going to school or shopping—should be assigned to either Kagari or Kagami.Through these tasks, they’ll meet other people, discover their own wishes,
and eventually choose whether to become “the real one” or to step aside for the other. The game does not have flashy sound effects, fancy graphics, fully-voiced dialogue or animations...
But it will instead focus on making you feel attached to it's characters through their dialogues and peculiar quirks.
Would you let a robot take your place if it was kinder than you?
Meet Kagari, a withdrawn child, and Kagami, the stand-in robot who lives Kagari’s life in their place. One day, due to strange circumstances, the two are made to face a question: if one takes the other's place so often, who deserves to be recognized as Kagari themself? After 14 days, the one who behaves more like a human will be accepted by society as the true Kagari.... But neither of them want to be recognized as such. This game is much more gentle and lighthearted than it's premise may initially imply.
In this story, there's no necessity for rivalry or deception.Humans care for robots, and robots care for humans.

I just finished all endings and I frikin bawled like a child. Never has a piece of robot media yanked my heart out (or my deepest insecurities) like this. I'm not gonna be normal about this VN for a long long time.3 found this helpful
not very long, but cute story, with cute artwork and cute music. will hit you with emotions if you're not careful ^^3 found this helpful
This game is really sweet with three ending songs and three endings. It sounds freaky but it is not scary. I personally would never want a robot taking over for me I would prefer they do the housework though. The art, songs, writing, and story are all top notch even though the whole game took me 1 hour I loved it. There is a lot of drama and honestly I don't think truly sentient robots are coming anytime soon but I kind of think humans are not actually sentient in the end sometimes but that's just me. Anyway robot waifu and hikkomori girl find peace together and both succeed it's sweet but I thought some parts of this game are kind of freaky so it's not totally wholesome....but it ends wholesome....also the robots talking to each other was interesting.2 found this helpful
Short but very, very sweet! The art is cute and I enjoyed reading it.2 found this helpful
As someone who spent the last month and a half developing a toxic and self-destructive visual novel with a similar concept, this was a nice detox. Very sweet little story.
Small, cute little story
