dude this game is absolutely unplayable

Each "run", you're dropped from the sky with an ear-deafening crunch as you lose most of your health, walking speed is infuriatingly slow, you lose oxygen in the upgrade shop and while reading the guide, so better read fast, you'll run out of oxygen before you can finish reading it. The tools are very weak, and only work in certain way, there's no aiming them besides changing the direction of your character left/right, very few minerals in the ground to find. Each time you run out of oxygen, you'll get kicked into the main menu and you start the groundhog day over again, except all the minerals you've found are gone now, so good luck trying to find anything else underground. The only way to quit the game is alt+F4, no graphics settings (windowed mode etc). Atleast in it's current state I personally do not find this enjoyable or fun.

you start with waay too low oxygen, you can barely get to an ore before you die, once you clear the top layer part, you dont have time to upgrade your tank and it doesnt make you start with more. your just doomed. just a broken unplayable game :P

Doug The Digger is a really charming little mining game that I found easy to get into. I play as Doug, a stranded miner who has to dig down into an alien world, gather resources and eventually build a rocket so he can escape. I liked how quickly the game establishes that simple goal because everything I do feels connected to getting closer to leaving. The main gameplay revolves around digging, collecting resources and deciding how far I can safely explore. The further down I go, the more useful materials I can find, but I also have to pay attention to my oxygen and fuel. I enjoyed that because it stops mining from becoming completely mindless. I have to think about when it is time to turn around rather than digging endlessly until I run out of supplies. The crafting and upgrade systems give the mining loop some much needed progression. I can sell resources for upgrades while also using materials to craft the things I need for survival and eventually the rocket. I liked the feeling of slowly improving my equipment because areas that initially feel inconvenient become much easier once I have better tools and more resources available.
