If you enjoy classic RPGs you'll probably enjoy this game. In particular it reminds me of the early Final Fantasy games except with heaps of convenience features added in. The story is a bit generic but more than good enough for this kind of game. It isn't particularly difficult though I don't think that is the intention. This feels more like a watch number go up and enjoy getting overpowered kind of game. The board game elements are a fun distraction from the main game. It is satisfying building up a ton of RP and going through a board to get even more overpowered.6 found this helpful
