Dragot is a fantastic game where you go from room to room, dragging your character around with your mouse, shooting/slashing at various enemies, and gaining game-changing items. If I still have not convinced you yet, lets break it down a little bit more. ☐Mouse-dragged Character Now this is a really unique feature that I have never seen before and really makes this game stand out. Dragging your character around is actually really fun and it makes you think about where you want your character while you are attacking. (Also my cat loves to watch my character run across the screen. ☐Enemy Design The enemies are all super unique and really fun to battle. They all have their own strategy for what they do and have their own spawns in each room so you already know what to expect when you enter a room. The further you go the more difficult the enemies get as they get more aggressive and get crazy abilities. ☐Boss Design The bosses add a good variety to your game and show up every 13th room. Some bosses are really easy while others are pretty difficult (Skeleton Necromancer always ends my runs :( ). The graveyard area in general is pretty hard, but once you get past it you should be set fo…3 found this helpful
Great game! Very difficult and very well worth it. If you enjoy games like Risk of Rain 2, this could definitely be for you!3 found this helpful
You really have to want to like this game, then it might be for you. The game is somewhat unique, but it just does not feel fun to play. It feels like a game jam game, that someone spent a lot of time refining technically, while spending zero time refining it mechanically to provide less friction and engaging gameplay. Pros: - Nice graphics and visual implementation - Great music, even tho maybe clashing a bit with the retro style of the game - Variety of characters and powers ups Cons: - Awkward controls, that seemingly are in places awkward and more annoying than fun by design - Very slow start which doesn't try to pull you into the game - Not even an attempt of lore or story or flavor or hint of giving anything you do any purpose or at least intent The controls feel awkward and it's get worse by small issues with them: - When you run into an obstacle, you lose control of your character and have to move your mouse back over it and click it again to control it again. This seems by design to make it "more challenging" by being punished for getting stuck on obstacles, but mainly it's a mechanic which is more annoyance than challenge or fun and therefore seems like a bad call. It's a cool game. I like how you move the character with the mouse but I'm not sure why you need to click it and grab him. Maybe I didn't play enough so I didn't see many mechanics that take advantage of that. There's a few annoying aspects to it, the enemies don't telegraph very well or shoot at random places. Specially the "cocoon" spawner is infuriating it shoots at random sometimes at 90º and sometimes at 45º I don't get it. I need to wait for the coins to reach the player or they stop moving, why? I already pick them up I want to keep going. Loosing control of the character on every lvl up just seems wrong Crates should break it's a videogame haha.1 found this helpful
The music in this game is hypnotic. I watched a cool video on Youtube of the developer talking about this game. I decided to give it a shot while it was on sale. It is very solid! It's a neat concept and I really enjoy the gameplay. I'd love to see Steam Deck compatibility because this could be the perfect game to play on there! I would say this game is definitely worth picking up! I don't think you'll regret it! I love supporting indie developers, especially when they do something that feels fresh and new! Again, I also really love the soundtrack!1 found this helpful
