It is the only game on Steam to my knowledge that supports cross-play between a Dreamcast and PC so... what more do you want? Would be nice if it also ran on the Playstation 2 which is technically far superior compared to the Dreamcast but ah well. But seriously. I've had no real issues with the game other then the ai scoring a few own goals which I cant fault much because I have also scored a fair few myself.14 found this helpful
Bought for dreamcast cross-play but it's more fun than rocket league 💆7 found this helpful
Driving Strikers is a football/soccer racing game inspired by Rocket League. It has the same elements from Rocket League, but on a more budget side to it. This game contains four maps and one mystery map that players have to unlock. Additionally, it has eight teams to choose. It also contains three different modes to choose from: Quick Match, League, and Online. -Quick match self explanatory, players pick two teams. They can play alone with an ai partner vs. ai, or among themselves. This mode allows players to have up to four controllers plugged in a 2v2 match. The time for each match can be customized in the options. -League mode like free match mode with no time. It’s a player vs. ai match of scoring goals Basically they select a team and go against a random team. There is not much to this match besides seeing the score board later on when you quit. -Online mode requires players to create an account at Reality Jump account before they can join in. It will give a QR code for players to sign up. I have not tried this mode yet. I wish it didn’t have the extra step to join an online mode. The graphic of this game could use some work in my opinion. It looks a little unpolished, lik…6 found this helpful
I wanna give this a neutral review because while I love what this is going for I feel like this really wasn't worth $10. In the 30 minutes I've played I feel like I've seen everything there is to see. Obviously the Dreamcast cross-play is a big selling point, and while I don't have a Dreamcast it wouldn't matter anyway because this doesn't come with the Dreamcast version. At all. Nor is there any way as far as I know to (legally) download the Dreamcast version and burn it yourself. The only way to get the Dreamcast version is separately purchasing a pre-burned disc from the devs' site. Not a fan. Further on, the game itself is just super plain. It's inspired by Rocket League, obviously, but that's about it. You play for a few minutes, one team wins, that's the whole entire game. Three or four maps I think, all of which are the same layout, and a few car teams (none of which change anything). There's also a "league" mode where you...do the same thing as normal, but without the setup, just right into singleplayer. Same gameplay. Doesn't even have bot difficulty to at least emulate actual variety. There's also online where you can't do anything because the servers are dead. Wanna…5 found this helpful
