About Drone Wars VR
‘Drone Wars VR’ is a sci-fi single-player action game for SteamVR in which you fight off hordes of enemy drones.
You are equipped with two plasma balls which you can throw at the enemies to destroy them. If you miss, they will reflect off of the arena walls until recalled back, allowing for cool trickshots. They can also be swapped out for a shield to reflect enemy projectiles. But keep on your toes as they will not last forever and physically avoiding enemy fire might be your last option for survival.
The game features multiple levels and enemy types with different behaviour. These levels can be played in one of three distinct game modes with their unique game rules. Achieve your best score and compete with other players on the global leaderboard.
Drone Wars VR was created by an academy team of four students in roughly fifty days as part of their internship in an already established game studio.

Drone Wars VR is a free VR game. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Was hard to hit the drones with throwing a ball. Looks like you have a long play value with this game. Has different modes and maps to choose from and each has it's own global leaderboard. Try it, you might like it.6 found this helpful
Drone Wars is a basic VR tech demo with little to no value as a real game for gamers. All you do here is stand still and wave your arms around to kill some drones. Yawn. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly "neon" 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Игра 'Drone Wars VR' - это взрывной коктейль из адреналина и тактического мышления, особенно если вы любите динамичные VR-шутеры. Графика, хоть и не поражает фотореализмом, вполне приемлема и не отвлекает от геймплея. Управление дроном интуитивно понятное, быстро осваиваешься и уже через пару миссий чувствуешь себя асом. Особенно радует разнообразие миссий: от банального уничтожения целей до сложных задач по защите союзников и проникновению на охраняемые объекты. ИИ противников не тупой, они активно маневрируют и пытаются вас обмануть, заставляя постоянно думать на шаг вперед. Прокачка дрона позволяет подстраивать его под свой стиль игры, выбирая между скоростью, броней и огневой мощью. Небольшим минусом можно назвать некоторую однообразность окружения, но это компенсируется напряженным геймплеем. В целом, 'Drone Wars VR' - это отличный выбор для всех, кто ищет динамичный и захватывающий VR-шутер, способный затянуть на долгие часы. Рекомендую!
