DruMidia is an abandoned attempt at making an Early Access VR exclusive QTE/air drumming simulation. The intended objected of this failure was to make a "game" somewhat similar, but much more limited than games like Guitar Hero or Rock Band, with drums only, and without any native soundtrack, the gamers are supposed to supply their own "content", or MIDI files. It's not a good sign when a game doesn't even work unless the player supplies their own content. It's presented in VR only, despite that adding no value to the game. Developers must learn that if the only thing that makes their game good is VR, then their game is not good at all. Aside from that, the limited visuals are completely phoned in. In an interesting turn on the usual story for abandoned Early Access games, DruMidia was abandoned [b]before[/b] the developer even launched it in Early Access, with the most recent update roughly three weeks before Early Access launch, and the developer never touched this attempt at making a game since. Being a dead, abandoned, incomplete game without any content, this is obviously impossible to recommend.

DruMidia is a niche virtual reality music experience that approaches the rhythm genre from a more experimental angle than most traditional drumming games. Developed by TeaLovers and published by zAwA, it is built around the concept of transforming compatible MIDI files into material that can be played through a virtual drum setup. Instead of emphasizing a lengthy campaign, elaborate progression, or a carefully curated soundtrack, the game concentrates on giving players a flexible space where music files and physical VR interaction come together. The result feels somewhere between a rhythm game, a virtual instrument simulator, and an experimental music utility. The most distinctive part of DruMidia is its use of Standard MIDI Files. Compatible MIDI tracks can be imported and interpreted by the game, allowing players to expand their musical selection beyond a completely fixed soundtrack. This creates considerable potential for experimentation, especially for people who already have a collection of MIDI music or are comfortable preparing such files. Игра "DruMidia" оказалась неожиданно увлекательной и атмосферной головоломкой. Визуальный стиль, вдохновленный восточноевропейской архитектурой и мифологией, создает завораживающую атмосферу, погружая в мрачный и таинственный мир. Загадки требуют внимательности и логического мышления, заставляя крутить шестеренки мозга, но при этом не кажутся неразрешимыми. Story-telling, разворачивающийся через окружение и короткие записки, добавляет ощущение вовлеченности в повествование, хотя и оставляет некоторые вопросы без ответов, что, впрочем, лишь подстегивает интерес к дальнейшему исследованию.
