Duck Side of the Moon

[h2]Wholesome![/h2] I’m a grown adult, but sometimes I just want to sit down and enjoy something simple. Duck Side of the Moon, despite its short length, genuinely put a smile on my face with its bright, charming visuals, playful dancing, fun minigames, and a sweet story about searching for a place to call home. While it’s clearly designed for children, it still has a warmth and appeal that resonates with older players too. It's not really asking for a whole lot, it's minimalistic and a nice distraction from the mainstream appeals. Perhaps... In search for a single player game to play, I came across Duck side of the moon. I can say that I'm very happy I didn't skip this! The game takes you on an adventure exploring space and working with Geode creatures in order to repair your ship. The first thing I felt when playing is that its very similar to Super Mario Galaxy with the atmosphere, Music, and movement as well as the environment around you. Its a feeling I haven't felt in a game in quite some time. As you explore more, you learn more about your character and the struggles you are facing. Without spoiling anything, it was a bit eye opening and relatable to some stuff I have dealt with in the past. The only critique I have is maybe the price for the game. While I did enjoy playing this, I feel like asking $20 is a bit much for only 5-6 Hours of content. This does include doing some side missions. Definitely worth getting the game if its on sale. Other wise I think this is a great solid game.

I'm enjoying Duck Side of the Moon so far! 🦆🌙 I really like the characters and all the little details you can find throughout the game. There are also some nice bits of background story to discover, which makes exploring even more fun. I haven't played for many hours yet, but I'm curious to see where our journey takes us. Oh, my geode! If you haven't played this yet you are literally missing out! This poses as a cute lil duck game where you crash your ship cause for some reason you took a nap, and autopilot apparently doesn't exist so the entire game is quite literally you trying to fix your ship. In reality, due to the writing on this game your gonna need a couple tissues, ❤️

As someone that does not usually do reviews, I feel morally obligated to leave one for this game (as of now there are only 84 others). My partner got this for me on a whim and I have absolutely fallen in love with it. It is a very laid back, cozy adventure game where you progress at your own pace and explore cute little worlds inhabited by sentient geodes in a distant galaxy, and that is all I need in the world right now. My 6 yo has been with me as well, and we’ve both been getting down to the beat.

I love ducks, and I love space stuff. This game has it all :)
