Duckoleon is a small arcade game built around a simple and deliberately silly concept involving ducks and fast action. The game does not try to create a huge adventure or complicated progression system, instead focusing on giving me a short and entertaining experience that I can pick up quickly. The biggest strength is its sense of personality. A game centred around ducks already has an amusing premise, and the playful presentation helps make the experience feel light-hearted. I like when a small indie game embraces its ridiculous idea instead of trying to make everything unnecessarily serious. The gameplay is straightforward and easy to understand. I can get into the action without spending a long time learning complicated controls, which makes it suitable for short sessions. The challenge comes from reacting to what is happening and gradually getting better at handling the situations the game throws at me. I also appreciate the arcade-style structure.
