We call Duet a “Hex-like” in honour of Terry Cavanagh’s contribution to the medium of games and exploration of genres.

About Tim Shiel



Tim Shiel is a composer/producer based in Melbourne. Tim is known to some as Faux Pas, the moniker under which he released a steady stream of constantly shifting electronic music for many years. He is also known for his work as a broadcaster at Melbourne independent radio station 3RRR FM, and for his recent role as multi-instrumentalist in Gotye's live band.

Built around a single core concept, the game challenges players to control two orbiting spheres that must survive a relentless series of obstacles by rotating around a central point. The premise sounds simple, but every stage demands careful timing, quick decision-making, and complete concentration. Through elegant design and steadily increasing difficulty, Duet transforms a straightforward control scheme into a rewarding test of skill that remains engaging from beginning to end. The game's mechanics are its greatest strength. Players rotate the paired spheres clockwise or counterclockwise to avoid walls and hazards that constantly shift across the screen. Since both spheres move together, protecting one often places the other at risk, creating a satisfying balance between strategy and reflexes.
