Warning: Asset Flip! Dumbass Drivers! is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store assets, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers.
Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. In this case, the asset flipper took a bunch of low quality Unity car assets and dumped them on a basic driving/racing game template, with a rough "country racetrack" theme that does little to disguise what this really is. Some effort did go into fleshing out a bare bones "game", and a few basly slapped together tracks, but ultimately this is just another attempt from an amateur develo…3 found this helpful
The game has potential but is a bit of a mess. The controls feel clunky and it felt like I was trying to wrestle with my car more than race. The few maps I was able to unlock were at east fun and interesting, even though the bad controls made it hard to appreciate them. AI drivers always seemed to do much better than me, even when using the same car. It even seemed there was a GTA cop car mechanic of their cars, even if you are using the same car, always seem to be faster and handle better. This, combined with the bad controls meant there was no room for error in a race. The slightest mistake would either put me in a spiral of fighting my own car, or give the AI cars a lead which is next to impossible to take back. I'm glad this game was cheap. Overall: 3/10 My total playtime: 115 minutes
Dumbass Drivers! is a deliberately rough-around-the-edges arcade racing game that embraces chaos, simplicity, and a self-aware sense of humor rather than polish or realism. Developed by Mark J. Lovegrove and published by Screen 7, the game positions itself as a low-cost, lighthearted driving experience designed for players who want quick, uncomplicated fun. From the outset, it makes no attempt to compete with high-budget racers or serious simulations, instead leaning into its absurd title and unpredictable races as its defining personality. The core gameplay revolves around straightforward circuit racing across a selection of unlockable tracks, each designed to introduce its own quirks and hazards. Races are intentionally messy, with AI drivers behaving erratically and often creating pileups that turn simple corners into chaotic obstacles. This unpredictability is central to the game’s identity, as success often depends less on perfect racing lines and more on reacting quickly to sudden crashes, blocked paths, and poorly timed collisions. Nitrous boosts add bursts of speed that can swing a race in your favor, while damage mechanics punish reckless driving just enough to encourage …
I would say it it a bad game but even though i did find joy from this, it reminds me of an old game. goodjob Mark.
An absolute load of rubbish. This "Game", is not worth being free let alone paying anything for it. The controls are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the "game-play" if you can call it that is none existent. There are several basic quality of life stuff that isn't included. This is clearly just a poorly made asset flip. Avoid this one, not worth getting even if it was free.
I've played this game, so you don't have to. It's cheap, but buying ice cream or bubblegum is a better investment than purchasing this game. There is nothing positive that I can say. Car handling? bad Track layout? Mid at best Optimization? AAA Games released in 2025 run smoother than this AI balance? Either slow or fast as lightning Game mechanics? The damage system makes almost no sense. Now it's time for the big question: is this an asset flip? I'm 100% about some assets like cars - Fantastic Race Car 53/43/7/59 (and others). Textures or environmental objects like grass or barriers are more difficult to give a concrete name, but some assets are very similar to the ones in the game. I'm not sure that this game is an asset flip. Some elements don't seem like assets, such as car handling or the damage mechanic(they're that bad). Still, you shouldn't waste your money on this game.
