Gameplay Mechanics
- Auto-Acceleration
- The car accelerates on its own from start to finish. Since you cannot control the throttle, the challenge is all about steering, drifting, and adapting to the road ahead.
- There is no brake mechanic in the game. You’ll have to think fast, stay in control, and recover from mistakes without slowing down.
- Each stage includes at least one game mode. Some stages may ask you to simply reach the finish line, while others can change the rules, alter the lighting, affect your speed, limit your crashes, or give you a different objective.
- Different terrains can change how much your car drifts, affect your speed, or alter your controls. You’ll need to adapt your driving from stage to stage.

I really enjoy these types of drifting games, although this one was more frustrating than enjoyable at first. You're allowed 3 crashes into the walls and you're back at the starting line. The physics are accurate, but tough since there's no braking. I'd say if you spent half an hour with the game, you'd adjust to the game physics as I did, but I just found it overly frustrating at first. In summary, I've adjusted to the physics and now enjoy the game, but there's a bit of a learning curve or adaptation phase. Some of the courses are amazing, but some aren't fun.1 found this helpful
It is just really fun. Worth the money.
The game is a lot of fun -It feels challenging -The drifting physics are good -There is a good variety of levels The gameplay feels limited for now -All the levels seem scattered, with no exact order or campaigns to go through, making progression awkward when a new level is added -A level editor would make this game more interactive, so would a live lobby or any way to play online Conclusion, Drifters is a great game that will hopefully keep on recieving updates for bug fixes and new features, as well as a better organization of any future levels, if so, then it would be the perfect game to play with friends or mindlessly with some music in the background.

All in all a nice game. Fun mechanic, nice to chase highscore. One thing I hoped wouldnt get carried over from the Demo is the minimap being obscured. There is no reason to have the game do that. To optimize my run and not run into surprises I would have to screenshot the map in the selection screen, have that open on my second monitor and take quick glances at it to have the best shot at improving my times. There is no reason for the game not to give players the map at all times..
