"Dune Mechanic : Survive The Steampunk Era Prologue" is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Dune Mechanic: Survive the Steampunk Era". Dune Mechanic: Survive the Steampunk Era is not even released (seems a strange thing to do to advertise something people can't buy). If the product ever does get made, the first thing you'll notice apart from the poor quality which seems to be the hallmark of this developer (if unsure take a look at Winexy for an example... or better yet, don't) is that they seem to think Steampunk is real and a true historical "era" in human history; it is not. Thie rather perculiar incorrectness aside, I'm not sure that it's a game you'd ever want to buy. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Dune Mechanic: Survive the Steampunk Era, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. Rather than acting as a simple demo, the prologue offers several hours of meaningful gameplay that introduces players to the core mechanics while hinting at the much larger vision planned for the full release. From the moment players enter its unforgiving world, the emphasis is placed on creativity, efficiency, and problem-solving instead of straightforward action. The gameplay revolves around building an industrial empire from almost nothing. Exploration plays a major role as players search abandoned structures, underground mines, and hazardous landscapes for valuable materials needed to survive and expand. Every resource has a purpose, and gathering them becomes an essential part of maintaining steady progress. The game encourages careful planning, requiring players to balance exploration with the constant need to improve their workshop and production capabilities. This cre…
