About Dwarf Guild Mania

Dwarf Guild Mania is a turn-based economic strategy game where rival dwarf guilds battle for wealth, influence, and control across a procedurally generated world. Lead your clan of profit-hungry dwarves into untamed lands rich with gems, gold, and opportunity. In this realm, fortunes are claimed through clever trade, ruthless espionage, and industrial ambition. Which guild will rise above the rest?Expand your guild from a modest mining operation into an unstoppable economic empire. Grow from guild, to company, to empire. Every decision shapes the prosperity of your dwarves and the future of the realm.
  • Establish thriving settlements, prospect for rare gems, and construct sprawling mines deep beneath the mountains.
  • Compete against rival guilds for territory, trade routes, and dominance over valuable resources.
  • Balance expansion with stability as your growing industries reshape the economy around you.
  • Procedurally generated worlds ensure every campaign presents new opportunities, rivalries, and challenges.
Gold alone will not secure victory. Influence, sabotage, and information are just as valuable as armies.
  • Dispatch spies to infiltrate enemy guilds, disrupt production chains, and steal valuable intelligence.
  • Manipulate markets and exploit shortages to cripple competitors while enriching your own coffers.
  • Outmaneuver rival leaders through cunning diplomacy, strategic investments, and economic pressure.
  • Risk everything on ambitious ventures that could either create legendary wealth or bankrupt your guild.
Beyond the mountains lies a living world filled with opportunity and danger.
  • Discover rich veins of precious minerals, hidden locations, and lucrative trading hubs scattered across the realm.
  • Adapt to changing economies where supply, demand, and competition shape the flow of wealth.
  • Build trade networks that connect distant settlements and fuel your industrial expansion.
  • Encounter rival guilds with competing strategies, personalities, and ambitions.
Dwarf Guild Mania reimagines the traditional 4X strategy formula by focusing on economics, espionage, and industrial growth rather than endless conquest.
  • Victory is achieved through wealth, market control, and strategic influence — not just military might.
  • A reactive economy creates dynamic opportunities for trade, monopolies, and sabotage.
  • Spies and covert operations provide alternative paths to dominance beyond open warfare.
  • Procedural generation keeps each campaign unpredictable and highly replayable.
  • Designed as a fast-paced but deep strategy experience, blending accessibility with meaningful long-term planning.
For the Guild!

✦ AI summary

Players praise the game's unique blend of 4X and management mechanics, customization options like guilds and ideologies, and satisfying economic systems once established. However, they criticize confusing UI and poor communication of game systems and objectives, slow recruitment mechanics that lead to excessive downtime, and limited depth that leaves players without clear goals or tasks after only minutes of gameplay.

At time of writing (other than this one), this game has 5 total reviews (4 English, 1 chinese). All of them are positive. 3 of them have 0.6 hours total playtime, and the other 2 have 0.2 hours ptotal playtime. No one who "recommends this game" has played more than 40 minutes. OF A 4X GAME!!! These are fake reviews, there is no other possibilities, these are fake reviews to bolster a slapdash product. DO NOT buy this game! And even ignoring that, this game is just bad. I played the full tutorial, then played a regular match, and ran out of stuff to do after not even 10 minutes. The game stopped me from being able to sell gemstones, despite the fact that I clearly had them in storage. Either this was a glitch which seems obvious to encounter, or the game is so poor at tutorialising the player (me) that I got softlocked. Either way, this sucks. And that's all you can do too. You prospect an area, start mining gemstones, sell those gemstones, build a single fortress, and that's it. No combat, no discovery, not relationships with other civilisations, not even any interesting random encounters. Nothing.

This is fun, but it's missing a lot. The recruiting mechanic especially, Like 10 turns to recruit one dude that have six charges of abilites that are 5-6 turns each? You max out in the number of units you are managing really quickly, and are conseqentially forced to just wait for vast swaths of the game.

Ton of fun. Mixes great parts of Civ and paradox games while still bring its own unique game. I really like creating my own guild, flag, and ideologies (religious slavers is my favorite). By the time i have big trade networks in a few towns as well as a pretty big mining empire, the amount of money I make in turn is VERY satisfying. 10/10 would recommend.

The beginnings of something cool. The soundtrack is evocative and the 3D art is minimal yet expressive. I'd love to see more unit animations so I can understand at a glance what each unit is doing, and unique on-click audio per unit would help each dwarf feel distinct. The UI's visual design integrates nicely with the world — the pixel art icons are particularly strong. The game's biggest issue is communicating its state to the player. Successful systems-driven games consistently and unambiguously surface their state to the player, and also help them understand the actions they can take at any given time. Right now, Dwarf Guild Mania doesn't successfully explain what numbers mean or what the player can / should do on each turn. Audio cues, explanatory tooltips in the UI, and in-world alerts for significant events would go a long way toward delivering a comprehensible experience. The tutorial needs significant refinement too. The action required to advance should be highlighted in the UI and/or the game world, and tutorial modals and tooltips should open automatically at each stage. As it stands, the tutorial doesn't cover the full set of mechanics and is frustrating to play thro…
