About Dynamic Dungeons Editor
Dynamic Dungeons Editor is an easy to use local tabletop tool that was developed for game masters who use a TV or projector to map different premade backgrounds, videos, and images. Animations and particle effects, tokens, and audio files can be used to immerse your players. It's a player, not a 3d map-building software. Both the demo and the full version contain only a few simple battle grids, so you will need the videos or static battle maps of Dynamic Dungeons or other creators. The complete dynamic dungeons map collection is not included. The software is in constant development, future updates will be free.
Import Dynamic Dungeons maps or your own images or video files into the storyline and make a playlist, cover and reveal areas with the fog of war tool, apply custom size hex or quad grid overlay.
Playing on the TV screen is easier than you think. Simply lay flat your TV. You can protect the screen with a cheap plexiglass sheet, and use dry or wet-erase markers on it, so miniatures and dice rolls won't damage the surface of the Tv. You can also project down the video onto a physical table with an HD projector. Please note, that it's not a VTT for online gaming.
The Dynamic Dungeons Editor will help you to adjust the color of the videos and static maps, import png tokens to represent the players and their foes. You can play various ambient sounds and use particle effects to pimp up static or animated maps.
A free modular dungeon pack is available for this software containing more than 100 png props like corridors and various chambers to build your own dungeon.
(Although there are many customization options available and custom 2D maps can be created with the application, be aware that Dynamic Dungeons maps are not made with this app, but in various 3D software. You may want to try the demo version before you buy.)

I cannot recommend this product. It does nothing... Its insanely resource intensive when running, comes with none of the products listed. In order to get any of the 3D maps you must also sign up to the creators Patreon for a way over-priced monthly subscription. If this product contained those maps Id be the first tell suggest he tripple the price and it would be worth it. For What it costs, it does literally nothing. Save yourself the irritation. Do not buy this product. You can just play the maps over windows media player and drag/drop onto your horizontal flat TV instead.8 found this helpful
I am a pro DM hosting 14 campaigns per week and use this for all of them. It is not perfect (there are some bugs on mac) and your maps will break if you accidentally rename or change the location of your files, so it requires careful use. But if you can manage that it works very well.2 found this helpful
Great organizer for in person DND sessions using a TV to play on top of!1 found this helpful
Their Patreon has amazing live battle maps and I highly recommend joining it. They continue to add new maps every month and have a vast library of maps for many campaigns and many that will fit just about any situation your players find themselves in. Also, their modular dungeon pieces are a good way to make something truly unique for your homebrew sessions, though it does take some time to get used to and build maps. And yet... the Dynamic Dungeons software isn't great. It works, but it seems to have its bugs and design flaws. I'm not entirely sure they fixed their memory leakage (as time went on the software slowly became slower and slower, forcing you to restart it), the editor will take ages to load if you try to add too many maps to a single "story" file, and as you make more "story" files it will take longer and longer to load. Unless you plan to delete as you go and only have the maps you need for the current session in the software (or use it to build your custom dungeons), I would recommend using their maps on other live tabletop software platforms. They really are great.
Amazing for creating & customizing maps.
Easy to use and create custom maps for my campaign
