DYNASTY WARRIORS 9 Empires

So if you never played a Dynasty Warriors (empires) before. sure this is a fantastic game. it will get repetitive quick and you will notice the maps gets reused a lot. its great to play for only an hour a day. as to not burn yourself out. --- now if you played any of the Empire games before, this- is the worst. They stripped out So much function and items. There is no mercanary mode so being a vangrant is pointless and painful. being an officer and not a Ruler is also pointless and painful as you are always stuck having reduced EXP gain then everyone. they stripped weapons to its core basic, and removed more then half the orignal wepon roster. yikes. Major yikes. there is no New game Plus like other Empire games (where you gain a bonus for betting a scenario). all you gain is all the Elemental crystals you hoard at the end of the game . (this however will have you sorting over 300+ gems that just grows and grows with every turn) The lack of New game plus, or any real reward is the biggest crime of this game. the maps are sadly much smaller then previous games. and the cutscenes are.. lack luster at best. and sadly you will be bombarded with popups sayin…

i would've preferred the open world mechanic with a game like this, i think it would've been a lot more interesting. i have very mixed feelings about this game - it's very hit or miss and i couldn't play it past earning all the achievements as gameplay can get quite stale after doing all of the scenarios. i also think the edit mode is egregiously lacking in options for armour pieces to the point where i just started playing as the original cast instead of making my own officer. still an enjoyable experience and there's something to be gotten out of it but it doesn't really hold a candle to DW7E or DW8E the DLC wasn't anything worth raving about either which is personal preference but still.. meh definitely not the successful damage control it needed to be after DW9 and it's really controversial release in my opinion

so been playing these since the start yea i am getting old. got the pc version but it kept losing the controller config. Got fed up SO picked the ps5 version making brothers and finding a wife no longer hold much importance it seems , the stroll things is just waste of time and boring. the old quest missions was much better. the battles are not bad and very different i could get used to that part. however no more combos we now have flow attacks and bouncing like rabbit with springs there have been good and bad dynasty games, this one is just a no.. get 8 more fun in my view.

Good

Despite the critics, the game is pretty good. It has its downsides, but the biggest one i can name is the poor keyboard configuration... should have done a better job at it. It's playable, but takes some getting used to and adjusting the settings to one's preference. Also, it hurts that the mouse extra buttons aren't configurable. It's a pity that the customization isn't as extensive as the previous game, be it of one chara's or the scenario, and if one is usued to the previous game's fighting mode the current one might need some getting used to... but making comparisons aside, the game is very enjoyable. A pity the devs seems to have abandoned it, i think that with more patches and dlc adding more customization options the game could have flourished.
