Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition is the definitive way to play one of the best games in the long-running series. It is flashy, fun, and offers a ridiculous amount of content that will keep you busy for hours on end. If you want a game that lets you feel like a one-person army, this is exactly what you are looking for.
Do not pursue Lu Bu.
Just Hack and Slash until the game stops.

*Best played with a controller but be warned A and B/ X and O are swapped in the menus.* 1 vs 1000 with 77 different characters that have their own favourite weapon but can be swapped with others. There's 5 campaigns with historical and hypothetical scenarios and a 6th for the other characters. There's also an ambition mode where you fight battles for resources and officers to build and upgrade your base to bring the emperor to you and there's a 2nd version of this mode that you can choose to start after meeting the requirements. Challenge mode and getting your characters best weapons the 5th and 6th weapons can a pain and will require grinding each character to level 75+.
