About Eclipse
✦ AI summary
Play as an ancient god awakening from centuries of slumber to slash through monsters and uncover a mystery threatening a medieval village in this hack & slash adventure. Eclipse blends nostalgic action combat with sci-fi intrigue, futuristic weapons, and puzzle-solving challenges that reward skill and wit over gear stats.
What if you were a god? Play for an ancient god in a new hack & slash adventure from an indie developer MadRock. Crush monsters, complete quests, find and destroy the source of evil. But what if it's not that simple?
Once upon a time gods sent you here. You’ve slept in a glass sarcophagus for hundrends of years. When people find themselves on the brink of extinction, you’ll have to wake up. Now, the time has come. Get up and save the medieval village from the monsters coming from the abandoned dungeons!

Eclipse is a mix of nostalgic hack & slash games and sci-fi projects. The dynamics of modern games and a well-developed plot with elements of a detective story complement classic control mechanics.

The future is here! Use the weapons of the future in a medieval setting. Find out how technology fell into the hands of the people of that time!
Your skills and abilities are at the forefront, not the item statistics or the quality of the armor. To complete the game, you have to not only wield your axe or sword, but also use your brains: the dungeons are full of mysteries, secret passages and magic items.
Complete quests, explore locations, or simply cut your way further down - in the end you’ll find a secret, which you’d prefer not to reveal.

I'm not really sure if Eclipse is an asset flip, but other aspects of the game like the fake/paid reviews show this is clearly not legit. Some elements of this game certainly make it seem like the developer put some effort into assembling some kind of original here. On the other hand, a lot of the game assets don't seem like they were created by the developer, but they haven't credited any asset creators for supplying assets, which might be a case of plagiarism. There's no evidence, so we need to give the benefit of the doubt... regardless, asset flip or not, the quality here is indistinguishable from many asset flip/cash grab scams, and that's a problem in itself. The HUGE number of paid/fake reviews from accounts confirmed to be active on Russian review farms uncovered by Sentinels of the Store is absolutely damning evidence that this is an insincerely produced game. Also, the developer boasts this is a sole dev project... so we're to assume the developer created all the game assets? Stardew Valley took 4 years just to make a pixelcrap game, but this was slapped together in less than a year and has near AAA graphics? Come on. Yeah, this is an asset flip. It's a really ba…15 found this helpful
I can't recommend a game that was thrown out of early access ver.0.2.1 in the release 1.0 without real update!14 found this helpful
I waited for an eclipse but the game eclipsed my patience - even my phone’s timer glows brighter.3 found this helpful
I completed the game in 2026, it took me about 4 hours, and I didn't complete all the extras, maybe it took all 6-7 hours, what can I say: Pros: 1) The graphics seem to have been optimized, as there were no issues on the 3070. 2) Leveling up skills doesn't really affect anything, only stat increases. 3) The story is interesting to follow. 4) The music is really nice. 5) I'm really looking forward to the second part of the demo I played. Cons: 1) BUGS!!! I had to restart the game very often because the character stopped doing anything, couldn't walk, couldn't hit, and couldn't drink potions for HP and Mana. 2) There is no map of the area or quick teleports between a couple of locations in the main village, because I lost the way to the village where I had to turn in several quests. 3) There's a huge problem with items in the caves. If you haven't completed a quest and left the cave and then came back, the quest items are marked as collected in the quest, but they're still lying on the ground. All the monsters are also respawned, which resulted in a huge grind and the last boss couldn't really do anything to me. That's basically it. For a small price, I finished the game in an eve…
The voice acting is a bit mid and the dialogue is kinda glitchy
Ummmm... I am a mostly ranged player and the f*cking aiming feels broken. Seems extremely janky buy, I am happy to say it is impressive for a solo Dev, i would focus on smaller more polished releases going forward as this was very ambitious. Still, I would never recommend a game in this state.
