Eden Rising has two Editions:
The Free Explorer Edition. The Explorer Edition is the free base game with 12+ hours of gameplay. Explore Warden Rock, the Valley of the Ascendants, and the Fungal Preserve. Craft your defenses and defeat monsters in 34 challenging sieges and endless mode! Play solo or up to 8 players. This edition lets you join a friend’s Ascendant Edition server to play the game’s expansion for free!
The Ascendant Edition, which is the expansion of Eden Rising for a total of 35+ hours of gameplay. The Ascendant Edition gives you (and your friends!) access to 7 areas, 67 sieges, endless mode, armor dyes, gear unlocks, and more. If you host an Ascendant Edition server, your friends can play the expansion for free with the Free Explorer Edition!Both versions are fully compatible! Players can join up with friends no matter which version of the game they have.
The Explorer and Ascendant Editions help friends play together!
If you are a group of friends, only one friend needs to get the Ascendant Edition expansion for everyone to have access to all the game content (base game + expansion)!

[h1] I announce that this game sucks. Action with tower defense style of gameplay. Explore and harvest resources on not so big islands. Fight with some creatures and start siege to summon waves of deadly alien scum while trying to survive, after that reward awaits. No servers, no players online. Visuals are mostly good, but in general game is buggy and clunky. Nonetheless shallow experience not worth a penny. [/h1]8 found this helpful

I especially loved the part where after I beat Mom's heart for the first time I got Eden Rising and I had 2 random items every time I started the game
I should've listened to some of them reviews, tried it, walked around, hit some monster, quit and uninstalled. My PC is decent enough that i was getting around 120fps but WOW! very choppy, and not smooth at all. Character creation on starting is bad, not much choice at all.
Boo. Really limited in all aspects. Feels like a basic draft idea with the most boring implementation and tasteless design.
Bad combat. Game is good tho, need QOL features tho.
