The Republic of Galbadia, under the influence of the sorceress Edea, mobilises its great armies against the other nations of the world.
Squall and other members of SeeD, an elite mercenary force, join hands with Rinoa, a resistance fighter, to fight against Galbadia's tyrannical rule and to prevent Edea from fulfilling her ultimate goal.

incredible game but some issues with crashing in the final 2 discs and final cutscene

ffviii is raw
This is a childhood game for me and one of the first story focused games I ever played, so I can't be objective here. I love this game with all the silly problems it has. And Triple Triad is still my favorite minigame in any game.
good game
I love the story, even tho the combat system is a bit hard to understand. (Luckily the remastered has some features to make it more enjoyable than the original probably was).
