Just as awesome as I remember 20 years ago!
The combat is simple but satisfying, the Disney worlds are full of nostalgia, and the soundtrack still goes unbelievably hard. Even after all these years, hearing Simple and Clean activates a part of my brain I forgot existed. Of course, it's not perfect. The camera occasionally fights harder than the bosses, platforming can be frustrating, and the story starts off easy enough before slowly transforming into a conspiracy board connected by red string. Still, the charm outweighs its age. Smacking monsters with an oversized key while Donald refuses to heal you is a gaming experience everyone should have at least once. Pros: Great action combat Beautiful HD remaster Incredible soundtrack Peak Disney nostalgia Cons: The camera has its own agenda Donald still thinks you're healthy at 1 HP Understanding the full story is a full-time job 9/10. May your heart be your guiding key... because the camera certainly won't.
If I was deserted on an island for the rest of my life, this would be the one game I bring. (Thanks fuzz!)
fantastic games, except birth by sleep. kh1 + kh2 are masterpieces. chain of memories is pretty good. birth by sleep is absolute garbage. runs well on steam deck.
