Eldor'idle

This was a weird one. I expected it to be like any other short incremental game but this time you hire little gnomes to smash pots for you, but there were a lot of secrets and things you need to figure out yourself. There was also a skill based thing at the end akin to combat, but could be made easier with prestige. Like others have said, the mining part was super weird and so isolated from the rest of the game and super grindy, and I honestly have no idea why it was put there. It was like a second small incremental game. I really liked the character portraits and how everyone had personality. There was also a small but interesting plot to it all. Finished? Yes Steam Achievements? A TINY bit of trying to figure out puzzles, some of them are very vague. Steam Deck? Perfect except the 'combat' minigame would be way easier with a mouse. I should have listened to the bad reviews and avoided this game. Played it on Itch last year, had fun. Played the demo, had fun. But the full release, just so meh. The prestige mechanic is what really gets me, because even at the endgame I only get enough prestige points for like a fifth of the skill tree. But, most egregiously, every time you prestige you've got to revisit all the previous places you've unlocked and talk through the same dialogues again each time. And there's no buy-all button, or any way to speed up the early/mid-game after you prestige, so you end up spending like 20-30 minutes each prestige just getting back to where you were. It's honestly so annoying, combined with the base game mechanics not getting any more interesting, just seeing the number tick ever so slightly up every 30-60 minutes, it's so boring. Don't get me started on the mining minigame, which plain sucked and took like an hour, with the most paltry reward the game could give you... It's just sooooo frustrating, this game could be a lot better and it's let down by an abysmally slow pace that shouldn't be the case for an ostensibly active incremental game

Game is fun and chill, but lacks of content and is way too easy. There are better alternatives to play.

It doesn't redefine the genre, but it's a solid 'idle game. Some mechanics like mining and the prestige system feel a little half baked which make progress slow. It wasn't entirely clear that the blacksmith increases the damage of your gnomes, as I thought it was for fighting something off that never came. Didn't realize it until the damage number upgrade. I ran into a few bugs here and there, but nothing game breaking and only minorly halted progress. Can 100% the game in around 5 hours. Took me 8 since I didn't buy all the keys and had to reset a couple of times since the key salesman disappeared. All-in-all, I don't regret it and will give whatever they cook up next a shot, but I hope they learned a lot from this one.

fun little quick idler / incremental. train an army of gnomes to gather gold by smashing pots. several different houses with different tiers of upgrades and mini sub puzzles or story fragments. nice for a quick chill run through
