When I first heard about this game, I was thinking "I'm familiar with Touhou and its bullet hell, what's the worst that can happen?" As a 2D horizontal shmup, this game brings out what makes Touhou good in the setting of Hololive. By that I mean, an elite and somewhat pon shrine maiden beats the evil spirits out of her friends and fans with really good music playing. Its like Touhou but with a protagonist that actually cares about the situation at hand. The gameplay is fairly similar to Touhou; fighting waves of enemies before running into fellow members that all somehow learned danmaku patterns to beat, burn, and humiliate you with (You know, the usual). You can use materials you pick up during runs to buy new weapons, items, and upgrades which really bring out a good sense of variety and customization to how you go about your runs. The customization goes even further with the ability to change attack styles to fit your needs and alongside an invincible dash and the ability to parry melee attacks (not all of them though), you can handle anything with enough practice and the right setup. (And thats not even mentioning the cosmetics for getting no hit runs). There's even assist opt…2 found this helpful

Really good game with a lot of content to chew through. Good art, good music, good selection of holomems (though naturally as an English speaker I hope we get some EN girls in the future). Wide range of new mechanics to learn with different bosses, fun stance switching combat. It's just a really fun, solid game.
Could be passed off as a completed product as it currently stands, with a price point that probably undervalues it a bit honestly, but that's not my decision to make. Obviously a fan of the source material, with some skin in the bullet-hell/danmaku genre too, so this was on the radar for a while before I actually dug in and played it, and it did not disappoint. Difficulty was challenging, but by no means unfair. Soundtrack is banging, especially if you're already a fan of the artists/idols/comedians the game is based off of as it's awesome to hear re-imaginings of a lot of the original songs used. Spritework was also stellar, and was cool to see well-known artists in the community given the spotlight with the vs. portraits. Highly recommend, can't wait to see further updates to this project. :)
I haven't played a bullet hell game before, and I only bought this because of Miko. But I'm caught off guard by how addicting this game is. The visuals are very well made, the songs are fire and the challenging gameplay feels very fun and rewarding when you finally crown that hard boss you've struggled with for many hours. And this game is still in early access! This is an amazing game for an amazing price, definitely buy it if you're interested. Really looking forward to what tian nya is cooking up next. Mikochi wa kyou mo elite!
