Early access and new release, so caveat that we'll see how responsive the dev is, but its an interesting idea currently. Play loop is decent and the setting is great. The idea of building your own little slice of chicago is appealing. Some cons:

Once you get around turn 100 all other gang leaders are levelled too high and its not really possible to touch them
The cost of getting an unclaimed neighborhood is too - 50% building + x number of dice rolls with 20 men + 4 cars.
Police and health activity only impacts the player. You can spend time behind bars or injured, its not clear that the AI can
Alliances seem... not too useful? They seem to only effect your ability to get neighborhoods.
Your skills only impact events, not actual your actual actions, pickpocket/rob/assassinate etc. which to point 1, makes enemy bosses untouchable at higher levels
Weiss seems too strong, every game I see him in he floods and is completely dominate
Lots of forced intros/animations so for example loading screens are slow and animation to start a game are unavoidable
Lotta of cons, but thumbs up for now assuming the dev balances and tweaks things. It's a really nice start but it becomes extremely limited very quickly - even when you get a good result you'll only get get $200 bucks at best - there is no place to steal barrels of alcohol - so you can't build an HQ, you want to make serious income but then even when you make your own spirits - you don't have any options to sell it and it goes off?? Sadly most of the time you're left to do petty crime on your own as most of the time you can't use your guys or get any chance to try assassinations or take over places as you need to take risks - die hard or die trying!! So sadly very very quickly it loses its fun and intrigue. Sadly it looks like another one of those games that you need to leave and come back to later but not at least for another year!!!!5 found this helpful
Fun for some time. Like Scarface's rise to power. (Before troubles)
