[b]escapegame timelessroom[/b] is a lazy and overpriced port of one of the entries in a free mobile game series. it's from 2020 and to be fair, they did some work on the backgrounds, it's [b]not in portrait view but doesn't fill the screen either[/b], so sure, ask a couple bucks for it, but $5 is just taking the piss. especially since [b]the cursor doesn't highlight hotspots on mouseover[/b]. no dedicated hotspot indicator either, so it's just [b]one big pixel hunt[/b]. no written narrative, only mood or vibe or whatever kids say these days. the 'how to play' section in the pause menu encourages in horrible english (also present on the store page) to escape this world by 'tapping' (but of course) items and gimmicks(?). so yeah, [b]click everything in hopes of finding codes and puzzles and whatnot[/b]. acquiring the symbol of a planet unlocks the next location and things often change drastically. there are arrows for navigation and to back out of close-ups, unless it's an inventory item, then just click wherever. [b]written hints for the next step are available[/b] in the pause menu and [b]progress is saved automatically, inconveniently stored in the registry[/b] and gets wiped if …
