The sense of community makes this game. They haven't really done much to update the visuals in a while, but you don't really need spectacular visuals. The population is primarily veterans who love the game and are happy to take newcomers under wing. As a whole the community can be very competitive, but within groups and guilds the connections can be quite familial.

there are so many chances for the game to explain something basic about the game and its ui, and every time it chooses not to... i played it for over 6 hours and never got passed the starting area cuz i spent half that time doing my own research into how to actually play this game. nothing is labeled, even the spells dont tell you how much mana they even cost, i mean wtf... :'( i honestly dont know how this game became so beloved .

Went back after 16 years... Lvl 70, maxed AA necro.. nerfed as heck. Forcing you into the group dynamic, which is why I left in the first place.

I played this game when it first came out kind of, my friend had it he showed it to me and i got hooked. then wow came out and switched to that. Over 2 decades later I noticed it on steam and said why not. I am enjoying it but I can see why the game isn't popular....a lot of wait time. Could be I'm missing something. Sadly the graphics are not mindblowing...but their also not pixelated either...as it goes for the subscription....I'm not hooked enough to buy into it yet...looks like 15-20 dollars with added bonus tiers, 3 I think that will help you lvl faster. So if you have 20 to 30 bucks to blow a month its right up your ally, I have not tried it so...let me know if you did.
