Without a doubt, one of the greatest MMORPGs I've ever played. No other MMO has made me feel this attached or care this much about a world and it's characters. One thing I suggest is to take full advantage of the free trial, you can go crazy far with it and there's no time limit or anything. Highly recommended!
I've absolutely loved Final Fantasy XIV and have spent countless hours playing it over the years and ALWAYS return. The world, story, music, and community are some of the best you'll find in an MMO, and it's a game I'll always have a soft spot for. That said, Dawntrail has been the first expansion where I've run out of things that genuinely keep me coming back, only reason I'm currently subbed is to maintain my housing plot, which is insane. With previous expansions, there always felt like there was enough engaging content to keep me busy until the next major release. Unfortunately, Dawntrail just didn't deliver that same feeling for me. It's a real shame because I know how incredible FFXIV can be. I'm hopeful that the next expansion brings back that sense of excitement and long-term progression, because I'd love nothing more than to dive back in and make it my main game again.
Fantastic game with good storylines. Combat system is good as well. Not a huge fan on the map system but if that's my only complaint then job well done.
