Everspell is a simple tactical RPG that uses vector graphics. It's very likely from a solo developer, though I can't confirm this for certain. You choose a character class and begin wandering around a semi-open-world engaging in turn based combat. The game incorporates some light platforming elements. Unfortunately, the game suffers from balance issues and various UI choices that make it a chore to play. A general list of these: A. When casting spells and using abilities, you have to play very small mini games which involving tapping keys in a sequence. If you fail these games, your spell will fail. This mechanic is clunky and overtuned. B. Several UI elements are text only, and placed directly over things you do not want to click. This can result in dropping abilities. C. Stat bars and other elements lack texturing and polish. This isn't particularly an over sight, it's just hard to look at sometimes. D. Enemy life bars are fairly chunky. This can result in combats which are a foregone conclusion continuing for many turns longer than they need to. It's quite likely the mechanics of the game need some revisiting. From the little I've played what's easy to tell, is that the dialogues with NPC's and the cutscenes have been interesting so far. Regarding the combat I've been able to unlock quite a few spells although I've just started the game. The game encourages experimentation as the player can switch around a variety of spells to see how each of them works for thier playstyle, combining them is also another factor that adds even further dept to the game. One final thing I'd like to note is that the music is great, hope the full soundtrack is released at some point. Going to be putting more hours into this game as time goes on and I recommed you pick it up too.

One of the best indie strategy games to come out this year. I love the simplicity of combat and the exploration that comes along with it to enhance my experience. Definetely give this a try!
