Remember Reassembly? Wanted a game that had the same building and fighting system? Wanted to have more things to do? Wanted more weapons and parts like hinges and hangar bays? Wanted cool bossfights that didnt tank the game? This game has all that, but you will be missing the open world, for FTL style instances The only thing I dont like? the research pushes you to kill everyone in order to get it, since its based on the number of times you kill a certain build, thus this resulted in me going to war with the faction that uh...you spawn in their sector when you start a run, so every time I do a new run its a rush to warp out of the sector before my aft gets blown off by 3 battle stations. On the flip side, I found that if you 1 shot people they dont get angry with you, so you can usually kill like 2-3 small ships without any consequences.

Really wanted to like this game since I like building my own ships and all, plus they recently added hangars apparently, and I love carrier ships. They've also fixed several issues others have had too. Unfortunately, I've spent over two hours doing nothing but struggling to kill the first boss, which is an insane bullet sponge, has massive point defense, and instakills me if it hits me. I've given up because it simply isn't possible for me to beat it. I just finished spending 30 minutes grinding it down to 20% hp before being one-shot and losing all my progress on it. And this is after farming the mission up until the boss, resetting it, and farming it again, multiple times, in order to make a much larger and stronger ship. My original ship wouldn't have even managed to scratch it at all. The creator has said on the forums that they're making it less difficult, but not sure that it will be enough at this point. For anyone trying the game, don't use missiles. You can't aim them at weak spots, they got shot down easily, and they miss small or fast targets often. And you get limited unlock points, so if you spend them on missiles like me, you're just screwed.

Pretty good in most aspects, though I do wish there was a little more freedom with the connections you can make with different parts, as since not every piece is a uniform shape, you're bound to run into weird disconnects that subtly split your ship into pieces where one armor piece makes you lose everything attached to it, when it looks like certain parts should be connecting it back to the whole. I feel like there should be a part (maybe the structure parts, the weak lattice ones,) that can automatically connect minor bits like that, but that's just me. Still a functional game without it, but it's still a major gripe I have just because of how regularly it comes up. Also long, flat faces feel like they should be able to connect even if their connectors are off slightly, like the 222-metal heavy armor brick, but that's still something I can live without if it's actually that unbalanced or whatever. Yeah I basically only have issues with how pieces connect.

this is a tremendous experience, the customization is very fun and deep, and i was the first person to get the space invaders achievement which is better than starting a family
