Wow, what a disappointment. Normally I'm optimistic about mixed reviews but this time they're pretty much justified. While great in concept, the execution of this game is very poor. As a third installment to the runner series, it brings all the errors from the previous games and then goes on to add some of its own. Instances make for a poor game experience and many quest are made with the intention of wasting time. While the whole runner series is quite the time consuming genre, Expeditions in particular has its quest design made to make your rerun missions. The quest system expects you to know the quest before even playing it to make the experience enjoyable. Some quests in freeroam need you to hire certain specialist before you even do them limiting how much you can accomplish in a single session. Additionally, many objectives are placed just to burn time or as misguides to trip up your journey as they don't even progress the objective. With the introduction of cosmetics locked behind tokens, some of the challenges are outright ridiculous and have such stringent completion requirements. And that doesn't even mention the bugs the plague this game. The only hope this game has is…4 found this helpful
I absolutely loved this game i have alot of fun with it since im not just doing delivery missions. The overlanding, the little research missions all the xtra tools you get was really cool when playing this game I didn't treat it like snowrunner which I think killed it for alot of people im sure there is alot of things in the game that could be revamped sure but I dont think saber should have dropped the game which does make me sad. Now I love both snowrunner and expeditions two very different games but since the main community wanted stuff for only snowrunner we lost a game that could have been really amazing.3 found this helpful
Shame. Another result of expectations vs reality.1 found this helpful
Great trucks, beautiful worlds and the quests help staying motivated. MudRunner setting was more dark and I prefere Expeditions due to its more positive colorful and breathtaking nature1 found this helpful
Hitting the tiniest stone can send your car to the moon.
After the original Mud Runner its nothing but a trial on rocks. It's promising but than you start to play and just don't get the experience promised in the ad. However if you are training for rock climbing with your 4x4 then it is your game
