Explosion Magic Firebolt VR is a free indie VR game. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok, was barely understandable when i figured out how to switch language. I guess this was made by a 1 person developer in Japan. Has 6 steam achievements that are impossible to do at current state. Has a 10 minute timer. Everything else worked ok. CONS: The Firebolt spell attack does Not work, i could not figure out how to get a successful Firebolt attack. The Firebolt spell attack instructions on the store page description. > "Firebolt --- Pull the trigger of the right controller and stand still in a swinging state. When blue light comes out, swing the right controller toward the evil spirit. The fire bolt is activated after about 1 second." What i see trying to do the firebolt spell. > ' Point right controller to the ceilling and also Look at it. + Pull trigger on right controller and hold it. = Staff has a red glow then sparks from the jewel while the magic gurl says the spell, then there is explosion of blue light. I guess this is when you point the staff to target. + Then point the jewel of the staff at the target and release the Rt trigge…

"Explosion Magic Firebolt VR" is a pointless VR tech demo that doesn't even work very well... if you can get it to work (probably not), you'll find a valueless wave survival shooter where you wave your hands around in VR while monsters come down at the stairs to kill you. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. The graphics aren't great, simple, badly done game assets in a single room. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises.
