Exsanguination

"Exsanguination" is a free to play boomer shooter (brawler?) where you pretend to be a Vampire in a 1990's video game and fight evil monsters and things in a game that looks slightly worse than Quake. While this is marginally better than most amateur "indie" shovelware, it's not winning any awards and it was a massive flop. What do you do in the game? The gameplay involves fast-paced combat using a grappling hook and melee attacks. The game has a significant focus on violence and gore, but it also looks bad, and that clunkiness didn't help at all. The graphics aren't great, retro 3D looking graphics, probably not asset flipped because no self respecting content creator would publish them. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. This game will be awesome. It has cool mechanics and aesthetic. Looking forward to the full game! However, there are many bugs to be fleshed out. -The mouse icon disappears most of the time in menus or inspecting an item -entering a new area resets the mouse sensitivity -No mouse control with xbox controller -Tutorials don't say what buttons to use for xbox controller -dying makes mouse disappear so the options to restart or go to main menu don't work and have to force quit the game -Impaling an enemy still allows other enemies to attack you, which will make you die too quickly -Enemies have a lot of health and can overwhelm you too easily -No way to exit inspecting a journal with xbox controller -Using an xbox controller allows you to still use mouse but not WASD on keyboard

Couldn't read the story at the beginning. I'm a slow reader:( I had trouble moving, but my wasd movement started working when I unplugged my controlled usb. Graphics and atmosphere good +. Has grappling rope and melee combat ++. Has vampire theme +++.
