Hard Rock Alien Space Shooter
Would you rather watch than read? Me too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBpVgxEiheQ This game really tries to be one of the great arcade shooters. It has a good premise and idea, but it's executed poorly. The overpowering rock music drowns out any subtlety that the game would otherwise have. It starts blaring as soon as soon as an enemy is even remotely in range and sometimes doesn't stop until long after. The shooting doesn't feel great and there are a lot of small things that could be fixed that bring it down. For example: Loot boxes. They have them. That's really silly. The spread of different monsters is small and most of the challenge mode is just walking down corridors and shooting until the rock music stops. It's not terribly challenging or engaging. The weapon / customization is really lax and based heavily on opening loot boxes which, again, just makes me mad. tl;dr - There are much better wave battle / shooters out there, some of them even free like Synthetik. An unboxing for video games! I do these for people who hate reading and want to see the gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBpVgxEiheQ Join the Curator group…

Great potential here, but clearly this is an unfinished, seemingly abandoned game, hastily released to make a quick buck. Unfortunately, several glitches have remained in game, unaddressed. Such as disappearing War Boxes, Objectives failing to update mid-stage, characters in the select screen being stuck in T pose, even Steam Achievements that fail to trigger. Also the character pics (top left) seem lazily copy pasted. Facial screenshots would have easily done the job, with minimal effort. These factors lead one to quickly realise that this game was initially created diligently, with care, and in good faith. But with the end result being a rushed-to-release title, with minimal fixes to critical issues. The combat interface is solid, but the overall menu interface needs a lot of work. Good little timewaster. If fixes were in place for the aformentioned issues, this would easily be a $19.99 title, (more even, if paid content was available in game) instead of the $4.99 it's at now. I have high hopes that this title is readdressed, and gets it's fixes. It would be a damn shame to see this game, with it's great potential, simply rot in the Steam Store, collecting nothing but dust.

It is a good shooting games The only thing I find it is quite annoying is I want to open all my boxes at once.

Really challenging difficult level, a really fun horde mode which you can prepare your base each turn and works kind of a tower defense! After each mission you receive xp and loot boxes. I didn't find any bugs on my playtime, but I had played after the recent updates. I think the game would enrich with some interface improvements and commands. It was hard aiming to throw granades and setting up my inventory was a bit confusing as well. My overall opinion it's still a game with some points to improve but its systems like aiming to shoot, discovering how some items work and the xp/loot box features give a rewarding feeling after the gameplay loop.
