- Mini-games;
- City to explore.

If you're familiar with Beat Takeshi's films, then consider checking out Fading Afternoon. Every playthrough left me wanting to discover more about the main character and the people around him. Don't let the pixel art style fool you - there's a lot more detail and thought put into this game than one could imagine. The music is also one of the major highlights for me and I'm particularly fond of the guitar tracks. Happy to call Fading Afternoon as one of my new favourites and I'm already looking forward to checking out the rest of Yeo's work. Side note: Highly recommend remapping the keys if you're using a keyboard

Fading Afternoon is an unconventional action RPG that combines side-scrolling beat 'em up combat with life simulation and narrative-driven decision-making to create a thoughtful and emotionally engaging experience. Developed by yeo and published by yeo in collaboration with IndieArk, the game takes a refreshing approach to the crime genre by focusing on a veteran yakuza nearing the end of his career instead of an ambitious newcomer seeking power. Rather than glorifying violence, it tells a reflective story about aging, redemption, and finding purpose after years spent living in a dangerous underworld. This mature perspective gives the game a distinctive identity that sets it apart from traditional action titles. Players step into the shoes of Seiji Maruyama, an experienced enforcer who has recently completed a prison sentence and returns to a world that has changed without him. His reputation still commands respect, but time has taken its toll, forcing him to confront physical limitations and uncertain relationships. The narrative unfolds through conversations, exploration, and player choices, allowing the story to progress naturally instead of relying heavily on cinematic sequenc…

Perspective of the creation/writing of Yeo's story N' team here: - is to understand the tale, of a fierce tiger & the man climbing a tree to survive.. (if you heard the story? ; p it'll be quick) A person tries his best to escape by climbing a tree... but the tiger doesn't go away.. he "is" the tiger's meal.. An will simply waits under the tree. As long, as it takes, & will NOT leave! no matter what. Yeo makes some of the greatest games of all time, if you could call them games. I love the scenery and environmental story telling, and the somewhat brutalist method of communication shown by the protagonists in Yeo's games.

Game gives you no idea when to complete objectives, and if you go to a location 1 time, you cant go back that day and fail. Complete piece of crap.
