About Yakuza 0
✦ AI summary
Battle through 1980s Tokyo and Osaka as two protagonists caught in a brutal yakuza conspiracy, switching between three dynamic fighting styles and using the environment to devastating effect. Beyond the crime drama, immerse yourself in over 100 quirky side stories and mini-games across neon-soaked districts, from arcade games to cabaret clubs to absurdly memorable character encounters.
The glitz, glamour, and unbridled decadence of the 80s are back in Yakuza 0.
Fight like hell through Tokyo and Osaka with protagonist Kazuma Kiryu and series regular Goro Majima. Play as Kazuma Kiryu and discover how he finds himself in a world of trouble when a simple debt collection goes wrong and his mark winds up murdered. Then, step into the silver-toed shoes of Goro Majima and explore his “normal” life as the proprietor of a cabaret club.
Switch between three different fighting styles instantaneously and beat up all manner of goons, thugs, hoodlums, and lowlifes. Take combat up a notch by using environmental objects such as bicycles, sign posts, and car doors for bone-crunching combos and savage take-downs.
Fighting is not the only way to kill time in 1988’s Japan: from discos and hostess clubs to classic SEGA arcades, there are tons of distractions to pursue in the richly detailed, neon-lit world.
Interact with the colourful denizens the red light district: help a budding S&M dominatrix learn her profession, or ensure a street performer can make it to the bathroom in time – there are 100 incredible stories to discover.

A great game, currently my most played game on steam, wish I could play it again for the first time1 found this helpful
Everything in this game has a strict purpose and works so incredibly well together, even when you consider the future titles. Not many studios are able to make a prequel that enhances older titles while outshining them completely. Yokoyama's writing really shines in this game especially compared to what he's doing with the series now. Managed to get all of the upgrades this go around, so combat was an absolute blast. My only real complaint is that the business minigame (if you can call it that, it's basically just a spreadsheet) takes way too long to finish, but the reward is certainly worth it, unlike cabaret where I had fun doing it for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ reward.1 found this helpful
i'm not gonna sugarcoat it
I burned out on all the side quests only to never really start playing the story. Can recommend.
GOOD GAME
I still have no idea how to play Mahjong but now I'm addicted to making money and playing with arcade cars!
