FailFactory is the result of a creative sprint by two friends who dove headfirst into indie game development — no studios, no formal training, just passion, persistence, and the drive to bring something fun to life.
This entire game was designed, built, and polished in under 30 days by two completely self-taught developers. We wanted to challenge ourselves to build something small, fast, and genuinely enjoyable — the kind of game you can beat in one sitting, then come back to whenever you’re itching for a tough-but-fair run.

FailFactory is a compact yet demanding platforming experience developed and published by IL Labs. Set within the malfunctioning depths of KRON-X9, a colossal interstellar manufacturing facility, the game places players in the role of a maintenance technician tasked with surviving a disaster caused by rogue artificial intelligence, corrupted machinery, and failing infrastructure. The game's primary focus is movement. Armed with a prototype jetpack, players must navigate dangerous industrial environments filled with hazards, traps, security systems, and unstable machinery. The controls are designed around quick reactions and careful positioning, creating gameplay that rewards skillful execution above all else. Every jump, hover, and adjustment in midair can determine whether a run ends in success or failure. As the levels become more demanding, the jetpack evolves from a simple mobility tool into an essential mechanic that players must fully master to progress. One of FailFactory'…

The gameplay is too easy to break. However, since the game is mainly designed for speedrunners, this can be seen as both a positive and a negative. The locations are repetitive. The death logic is flawed—you can die without directly touching an object, simply by entering a certain radius. The music is generally okay, but the sound effects are quite cringy. As for the graphics, there’s not much to say: they are simple, the animations are a bit rough, but at least the game runs smoothly without lag. There is a lack of saving progress. I completed several levels, quit the game and now need to start all over again.
