Alright. [i]False Alarm[/i] is a 2-D stealth game that definitely channels its inner Gunpoint meets Mark of the Ninja. With perhaps a splash of Deadbolt mixed in. In this one, you play as a thief, hired to accomplish an escalating set of goals via two jobs (?). And is mostly silly, honestly. But it is sparsely present and decent enough. Gameplay is really where it's at with this game. You bop into each level with nothing but your wits and try to accomplish whatever is required of each mission to finish the overarching jobs. Within the scope of this, you will find a number of items in each mission that can help you make your way through without being discovered and/or beaten up by the guards posted throughout each level. But after the first couple levels, the game shows itself for what it really is: an unfettered, immersive excuse to pull off some Looney Tunes shenanigans. Whether you’re dishing out concussions with a 12-oz cola can or bonking your pursuers in the crotch with a frisbee, this game never seems to stop dreaming up new ways to humiliate your targets. At the same time, each level throws a new challenge your way. Guards start wearing their bike helmets to work, defeating your soda-based assaults. Trained professionals show up that can easily reverse your chokeholds. Well designed secret 2d Imsim about being the most extra thief ever made. Shockingly good game, however some of the enemy behavior is inconsistent and the throwing controls are HORRIBLE. Also the total lack of any ambient sound in the game outside of the local noises is off putting given how mostly empty the soundscape is. Truly beautiful title.

Edit 2: Thank you for the quick fix. It appears the issue was that demo levels that I completed never initially loaded in full game. Edit 1: I beat the game getting all the collectibles for each level in one go. That's how I decided approach each level to make it fun / challenging for me, yet for some reason, I did not get the remaining steam achievements unlocked. It's really disappointing to spend 30+ hours to go through all the trouble only to not have the game acknowledge that I have completed the remaining achievements. Please could you look into this and fix it. The only thing that I don't like is the penalty for knocking out the enemy. One of the core advertisements for this game is the ability to set traps and elaborate ones at that that have major chain reactions. I feel that there should be distinction between just choking out the enemy (using "R") vs being clever using traps.
