About False Mall

You have wandered into an infinite looping shopping mall in Japan. If you notice changes within the mall, you might be able to escape.

How to Evacuate

  • When all the anomalies are captured, the emergency exit will open.
  • If there are no anomalies, do not capture anything and just open the emergency exit.
  • If you open the emergency exit at 9 o'clock, you can evacuate outdoors.

Features

  • A "Spot anomalies" game inspired by "The Exit 8".
  • Recreating the ambiance of a local shopping mall in Japan.
  • A hint system that shows the location of anomalies. Anyone should be able to complete the game.
  • Auto-save feature. It allows you to pause anytime.

Gameplay Videos and Streaming

Feel free to publish gameplay videos or stream the game without contacting the developer.
If possible, I would appreciate it if you could include the URL to this store page in the description of your video.

VHS Effect
If you don't like the VHS effect, you can turn it off in the settings menu.

Prevention of 3D Motion Sickness

The larger the game screen in relation to your field of view, the more likely you are to experience motion sickness. If you suffer from motion sickness, effective measures include switching to windowed mode and lowering the resolution, or physically distancing yourself from the monitor.
You can also adjust the following settings in-game:
- Reduce the amount of head-bob
- Display the center point

as far as these games go? it's good. I wish the "reveal" for things you missed was a toggle you could set to off so that early on i didn't accidentally look at the map and see what id missed. its hand holding but one i think should be a start of the game pop up you can ask be disabled unless you change your mind later. otherwise. its good. Never felt like an anomaly was unfair. some were very subtle but i managed to catch them and im terrible at games XD

I've been playing a TON of "anomaly walker" games over the last month, and this is my new favorite. I never would have suspected a game with such unassuming screenshots could be so good! Something that I’ve found is a common problem in anomaly walker games is that the player can miss anomalies; if they mistake something normal for an anomaly in an anomalous area, or if they just “get bad vibes” and turn around and leave, they can miss seeing whatever clever thing the anomaly is. This game fixes that perfectly by making you take a picture of each anomaly (and uses a moving reticle to assure you that you’re taking a picture of what you want to). If there’s no anomaly in the room, you proceed through the exit door. If there is an anomaly and you take its picture, then the exit door opens automatically to let you know you got it (sometimes there are multiple places you have to take pictures for an anomaly, and the door opens to let you know that you’ve taken all the pictures). The anomalies here are all “fair” and clever, and many of them are laugh out loud hilarious. Because of the “camera” mechanic, many of the anomalies also play a ridiculous special animation when you take a pict…

A very fun Exit 8 style game with some hilarious, creepy, and hard to find anomalies. I highly recommend it if you want a few good hours of catching details!

A fantastic follow up to False Dream. This one was more difficult I feel. Play it if you love anomaly games!

Oddly satisfying to return to, if you like the vibes in the trailer. Some of the anomalies are pretty fun, too.
