About Farlight Commanders
Since the first Farlight Explorers, the life in this galaxy is not easy. Near the core of the galaxy a rich mineral was discovered and the company who sent the explorers years ago wanted to control the planets. After many years of war, the corporation own more than half of the galaxy and they are exploiting the planets with tiranny. Pushed to the border of the galaxy, after new elections, the council is preparing a counterattack, using olds war spaceships in a desperate act, the council wants to force a truce, however people is tired of the war and each day the public opinion is decreasing. Players will team up to command one of the spaceships and liberate the planets.
Cooperate with your friends up to 4, crew a spaceship and fight in differents places. Each player will have an unique rol in the game. Commander, Soldier, Medic and Technician. During the space battle each part of the spaceship could suffer damage, so the crew members should repair it before everything is lost.
The Cantharis is a destroyer class destroyer used in the first war against the Corporation were the first Farlight Explorers colonists achieved to win the war destroying the Singularity Gate.
Right now is an obsolete spaceship, however it has the best balance and the cost to produce it is really low.
The spaceship has 4 main stations. Drive, shields, energy, artillery. Each station has unique actions
so handle wisely with your crew each station to win the different battles.
Land with your crew and conquest the enemy Base in order to claim the planet.

SINGLE PLAYER EXPERIENCE I started playing just a bit to take a break from my uni work and I spent 3 hours in the first sit. BEWARE, it's a deep game with multiple choices, make sure you check the shop before you spent your ability points so you can buy the right things for yourself and the ship. If you spend your points lately the game will be way more challenging. The game needs more feedback to the player and be more clear at some points with the management of the ship and the ability points but, if you are patient and spend some time with it you will love it.9 found this helpful
I'm very, very disappointed in this game. I like the idea but the execution is miserable. Spelling errors, poor tutorial, bad controls, boring combat, poor UI, barely passable graphics. If this is someone's first attempt at a game I'd say it was a good try but it doesn't really measure up to basic "tolerable" standards and on top of all that it's just not fun. 3/10. Game didn't launch on steam proton. After installation modification of proton from community proton-GE aslo didn't work from the box. I registered the launch parameters for using D3D11. The game launched and even generally works, but you can’t call it playable due to graphical glitches and a non-working steam overlay (which is not required for the game). I do not advise buying until a solution to launch problems is found or until the developer takes at least some steps to launch it on Linux systems or steam OS 3. Игра не запускается на steam proton. После установки модификации протона от сообщества proton-GE также не работал из коробки. Прописал параметры запуска для использования D3D11. Игра запустилась и даже в целом работает, но играбельной ее не назовешь из-за графических глюков и неработающего стим оверлея (который для игры не требуется). Не советую покупать, пока не будет найдено решение проблем с запуском или пока разработчик не предпримет хоть какие-то шаги для его запуска на Linux-системах или steam OS 3.2 found this helpful
This game is currently a bit rough around the edges. Needs serious updates and a playerbase. I hope it'll evolve to become Barotrauma in space.
