About FEAR background
Brief background:
The main character, Deacon, an office worker, is struggling with some illness, because of it he can control his dreams.
You have to overcome your fear, going through gloomy locations for the main character, along the way solving various puzzles and trying to understand what is happening in general, in what the lines with which Deacon accompanies various situations will help you. Believe me, the atmosphere in the game can cause fear from everything from a brick falling from a wall to a suddenly opening door.
The game is still at an early stage of development, but in the future there will be many more locations and mysteries to be solved.
Warning: Asset Flip! "FEAR background" (aka Fire Of Cold) is a Digital Homicide style asset flip from known Russian asset flip scammers, Piece of Voxel. Valve calls these asset flips "Fake Games". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unreal Marketplace packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers.
TEN BUCKS FOR A TEN MINUTE LONG ASSET FLIP. Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. 5K Gamers/Piece Of Voxel have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:
…3 found this helpful
Fear_background is a very lackluster game, it only last 5 minutes at best and usually cost $10. Starting off the game has absoutely no hud, no options to lower game audio, change basic settings, and other things. Which also adds to game audio being extremely loud. The game also seems to be built off of asset flipped assets and doesn't guide you on what to do really. You also don't get a ending and just get sent to the beginning after you reach the "end".1 found this helpful
this game taught me a valuable lesson about wasting money on games. maybe it will teach you a lesson too.1 found this helpful
