Made by people who didn't get what made the first game great. It's like a skinwalker wearing your loved ones' flesh while speaking in broken English. Completely lacks the atmosphere and evironmental storytelling that made F.E.A.R. good, and instead replaces it with poorly paced and balanced massive environments where the ai's aimbot completely ruins the experience. I completed it on extreme and the last three chapters felt like a slog, just to get the most unsatisfying and predictable ending I've ever experienced I think.
Great DLC ending the first game.
Completion: Finished Overall Score: 4/10 F.E.A.R. Extraction Point is a weak and very repetitive expansion that I only really played because I wanted to see the story after the base game. Sadly, even the story did not really work for me. It felt like we were mostly just moving up and down through the same kind of building sections without much actually happening. The horror also felt forced rather than scary, because most of the scripted moments were easy to predict. The combat is still built on the same F.E.A.R. foundation, but this expansion feels much more linear and gives you fewer interesting options. The repeated heavy mech encounters also became more annoying than exciting, especially when they started showing up floor after floor. Technically it was stable for me, so I had no major issues there. The problem is not performance or bugs, but that the expansion itself is just not very interesting. My review of the base game: F.E.A.R. review. I would only recommend this if you are extremely curious about the continuation after F.E.A.R.. For everyone else, I honestly think it is …
Great expansion, some new levels and fearsome hallways and a metro-section which is cool. Short but for cheap it's worth your money.
Scarier than the base game and runs perfect once patched (5 minute adventure)
PRETTY FUN BUT SOME WIERD ♥♥♥♥ HAPPENS IF THE RENDERER RUNS FOR A LONG TIME WITHOUT RESTARTING
