About FLASH OF THE BLADE X
ENTER THE NINJA
Flash of the Blade X is a first-person slasher set in Feudal Japan.
Take control of a ninja on a quest for revenge against the clan that betrayed him and left him for dead.
Use period-accurate weaponry such as the Katana, Kusari-Gama, and Shuriken to bring death upon enemies.

Key inspirations for the project include Sho Kosugi movies such as Revenge of the Ninja, the Shinobi games, Wolfenstein 3D, and speed-running platformers.
Originally released as "Flash of the Blade", Flash of the Blade X has undergone a ground-up remake, with new levels, new art, better balancing and and an all-around thick coat of polish. The initial one-hit-kill mechanic has been removed in the interest of a deeper experience, and making the game more accessible.

I loved it. Pros +Short n sweet levels +Great weapons and melee actually feels satisfying +Played a 'secret level' with some great developer commentary +Secret level has a cursed DOSMan. Can you find him? +Secrets galore. (Ya found me!) +Music is high effort and seems like a different song for each level. All traditional Japanese +Short game. but bargain price Cons - A few options are missing that you'd find on later EFPS releases from DOSMan - No achievements (see above) Recommended1 found this helpful
The traditional Japanese background music is soothing. It stands in stark contrast to the game.1 found this helpful
There's just not enough content here. Even when discounted to €1, it still feels overpriced.
small and fun adventure that i enjoyed, one problem is a glitch that make it easy hitting enemies stun them so you spam M1 with sword at any boss and you win
yep
You get what you pay for, and I mean that in the best way possible. This is a really short and simple FPS/hack and slash game. Aside from the rarely seen ninja theme, there isn't really anything all that special about this game, but it is quite fun for what it is. It is definitely on the easy side. There is a nice variety of weapons and feel pretty good. Decent animations, good sound effects, and enemy death sprites give a pretty visceral feel to the combat. Three melee weapons might be a bit much. Each one has its own utility. Sword for your reliable default. Knives for speed. Sickle and chain for range. The game is so short and easy though that there aren't really any situations that are best approached with one weapon over another. It is nice to have the options but it might have made more sense to introduce all three melee weapons early on so players could use their preferred one. The movement feels nice. The visuals are basic but do look good. The music is... fine. Probably the weakest part of the game in my opinion. The music is generally fitting for the overall theme of the game and levels, but I can't say it is the most fitting for an action game like this. It isn't bad t…
