Floating Cuboid

"Floating Cuboid" is a badly made, phoned in 2D retro pixel platformer, one of literally thousands of these on Steam, and this is one of the worst ones. The developer boasts they couldn't be bothered investing the required amount of time it takes to make a game properly and bashed this out in less than a month, and it shows. It's a weird flex to tell people you did the job badly on purpose... and this does absolutely nothing to benefit gamers. It just makes indie devs look worse. There's basic platforming here and it's hard to say if the game is difficult because it's meant to be or because the devs were just lazy. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded [i]despite[/i] the bad graphics, not because of them. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind…

More neutral about it but I just didn't like the controls. I just didn't feel like I had enough control of my jumps since I could only move forward.

Level 7 is frustrating...

this game is a rage game but not because it's challenging, it's because the controls suck ass. play something else like the creators other games. for example the search for a colour palette is pretty good, but don't play this. you deserve better.
