About Cubico
Cubico is a jump’n’roll computer game which takes the player on a journey through a playful world filled with geometrical objects. However, not everything seems to belong into this world. The player can reshape and extrude some of the objects and put them to good use. You’ll experience a journey with various challenges. The game demands skill and logical reasoning in a place with brash colors and shapes straight out of the 80s. The game is accompanied by electronic synth notes, which carry you down memory lane. Suddenly you’ll find yourself in the world of colorful walkmans and friendly macintoshes.
A bit soothing ball run experience. Set in abstract world full of different geometry objects roll the ball through checkpoints to the end. Game is relaxing with simplistic visuals. It might be ok for a single playthrough but most gamers are gonna look for something more.
6 found this helpful
Hello, welcome all Chuds, Gamers, and other Nerds. I aim to 100% all the games that catch my eye and join the sea of reviews on this platform. Most will never read this, but I will review the games I find simply and thoroughly. 1 What is "Cubico?" A short 3D platforming game. 2 What does this game play like? The main mechanic of this game is you simply rolling in the direction you wish to go, and jumping over obstacles. The game does have a manipulation mechanic, but that is very jank and acts as the worst part of the game. Simple rankings Story NA/10: This is all game, no story, so none to speak of. Game play 7/10: This game uses simplistic visuals with bright colors and zen music. Unfortunately, two things fail. First and foremost, the manipulation mechanic. The manipulation mechanic allows you to stretch blue material in different directions (mostly intended for you to raise the ground bellow you.) This is a struggle, as normally you only raise one corner, rather than the whole surface. Second, navigation. As you get into the game it opens up, but the map can very easily leave you lost, unsure of where to go. This game is not a bad platformer, but these two mechanics / desi…1 found this helpful
Out of all the games I own across several systems and having played and owned games since my first time at my cousins house playing the Atari back in 1988.. For some reason this game just soothes my soul. Out of all those games.. I find myself coming back for the vibe, the sound the.. whatever voodoo you did do here. I plead upon all pleads that you make more levels to this game.. Please take my money Edit : After posting this. I realized that i only put 2.2 hours into this game... So the dozen or so times ive come to play this game for 10 -15 minutes at a time.. meant more to me than some games I have 100s of hours on. Holy crap...
A basic platformer with a very clunky and finicky gimmick of being able to manipulate certain terrain in the style of 3D modeling software. It became so clunky and finicky to do, especially when needing to take precision actions, I just gave up in frustration.
Ball lovers... is your lucky day Needs bouncing :) Also needs a SAVE. I know this is a speedrunners game, but there is absolute ZERO sense in having a lot of checkpoints, but not allowing me to play in different sessions Very good for free
