About Flora Domina
Flora Domina is a turn-based strategic card game where you play as a nature goddess that has to defend her island from humans. Use the power of nature to take back your land from the industrial invaders. Overgrow their mines and factories with flowers, grow forests and brambles to hold them off.
You hold the humans off by expanding your territory and playing cards to grow your forests. The humans do the same by building homes, mines and factories. Overgrow the other to conquer them!
Summer and winter come and go. With them they bring advantages and disadvantages to each side. Humans will need more coal in winter while your plants will need extra water in summer. Plan ahead and grow when the time is right!
The island is procedurally generated every session. The landscape consists of different types. There are deserts, marshes, geysers and more to make growing on the island more interesting. Discover it and use it to your advantage!This game was developed by 3rd year students at Howest - Digital Arts & Entertainment during a period of 11 weeks.

The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. This game being one of them. A horribly unbalanced and broken mess of Neo-Malthusean propaganda masquerading as a game. Credit where credit is due though, the dryad is cute. The VA though couldn't sound any more uninterested if they tried. Which is fitting because nothing in this game aside from that design denotes any modicum of effort being put forth. And I like the concept of a nature-based 4x. It's a shame that this game isn't it. 4/10.2 found this helpful

The first map worked well so far. but then... the next maps didn't work at all - no growth, no water. the humans took over almost the whole island until i quit the game and restarted it. then it worked again until the map was finished. every other map nothing worked again... a bug or what else? pro - something new, in the sense of "match 3" games contra - too many comments from nature guardian! - intrusive tool tips that you can't turn off. (clicking away doesn't help because they'll be back the next moment!...) - a mobile game while a bus trip... uninstalled and removed it from my account.1 found this helpful
