To discuss this properly, I'm going to talk about the game in different parts The soundtrack is easily the best part of this Everything good said about it is true and may be worth a purchase in itself The game world is not particularly well-designed The graphical style isn't a problem and I quickly become accustomed to the aesthetics I also liked how objectives are clear because how much of the world is in sight with clear paths However, there's very little interaction with it, giving it a dead feeling This is fine for Acts 2 & 3, but works poorly in Act 1, where I feel we are supposed to care about it and its beauty as the protagonist's home It's also often too large for its purpose, which combined with the slow walking speed can make exploration feel like a slog If you're looking for a walking simulator to be lost in, find a more interesting one One place it does do well in is Act 2, where there is a trail of important objects in Act 1, so it feels like a memory trail There are also some nice visuals, such as the waterfall, the lighthouse, and even the burning woods Generally though, there's not much to do with them The gameplay is simple point and click where I feel the gam…

I played Forgotten Hope about 3 or 4 years ago, and it's one of those rare games that stuck with me. I realized I never wrote a review, but honestly it deserves one. This was first Sri Lankan indie game i played that told such a meaningful and emotional story. (probably the only one too) It made my weekend back then. The atmosphere, music, and message all came together in a really touching way.
The game gently reminds you that even during heavy moments, there's always something to hold on to. That message, along with the visuals and soundtrack, left a lasting impression.
It plays like a walking sim, and while I wished there was a bit more dept, likee more to explore or interact with, the core experience was strong on it's own. We need more indie games like this from SL. Games with heart, intention and storytelling. Props to the devs. Y'all guys did something special. Looking forward to what comes next. <3

I'll give it the thumbs up as the game functioned correctly, didn't crash and does all it sets out to achieve. Walking simulator covering mental health/suicide themes. Felt like a personal project and can see some personal love in the way it was crafted by the dev.

The alright: The music The bad: The voice acting The ugly: The game performance. The comic sans grave The game play is unclear.

A nice game that delivers a valuable message throughout its story, addressing the serious topic of mental health. With an emotional narrative and a powerful message for everyone, it’s truly great work.
