the store page tag full controller support is a load of bs theres actually several game cruical things you genuinely cannot do with a controller and in mid/end game areas you're gonna have to swap to mouse n keyboard to get through them some examples being the mace weapon is unusuable on controller the grapplehook while i really wish was an actual tool in the game and not locked to a specific zone is literally not usuable with a controller cuz the cursor does not move away from your character far enough to lock on and having B as the "split half stack" and the codex button is really ...weird consdiering everytime you press it both happens did they even attempt to try that themselves ? You can change it sure but you'd have to give up a certain function as all other buttons are used, so i had to get rid of the quick mana use cuz i dont use magic and assigned codex to that so can split stacks (cuz it doesnt have its own assignable button its hidden u cant change it) the wiki for this game is so weird its showing me things that dont exist in the game anymore + i encountered bosses and enemies that arent there so im assuming this is reallllllly old like all of the mechanics iv…

I played until after beating the Tormenter boss (3rd biome) on Expert mode, and found this game to be somewhat fun, but it is more or less a “worse” version of other games that already exist (Necesse) but with higher quality visuals. My main suggestions for the developer are to improve on QoL, player onboarding, and unique game mechanics. Here is my feedback: QoL: - The codex needs major improvement. Hotkeys (such as consuming potions) should not be able to be pressed in a menu where there is a search bar that requires typed input. Drag and drop (a la speaking to the guide in Terraria) would also be a major improvement, rather than forcing players to remember the names of items that they have come across in their adventure. Additionally, while I understand that some mystery should remain for items that have not yet been discovered, because the wiki is not being actively maintained, I think that an associated biome should be listed under undiscovered items in the codex so that a player can know whether they missed something, or if they will find it later on. - The crafting menu needs to be overhauled. The automated resorting of the “all items” section based on player invento…

I've only played 4 hours at the time of writing but this is a brilliant game so far. It's exactly what I wanted, a 2d survival crafting game with that great game loop. It's also surprised me as well with the items I've unlocked so far, there's not much hand holding though but I'm enjoying the progression and adventure, building my base, crafting armour and just seeing where this takes me. I also played this on the legion go 2 which worked perfectly. I'll come back and update my review at a later date but if you are looking for a 2d survival crafting game to enjoy and chill out to then I highly recommend.

Developed and published by Smoodlez, Forsaken Isle is an open-world survival RPG that combines exploration, crafting, farming, combat, and settlement building into a sandbox adventure that values freedom above all else. The premise is straightforward: you awaken stranded on a mysterious island where every decision contributes to your survival and long-term success. Rather than following a heavily scripted campaign, the game encourages players to carve out their own journey, whether that means becoming an expert explorer, an accomplished builder, a dedicated farmer, or a fearless adventurer. This emphasis on player choice gives the experience a relaxed yet rewarding pace that feels refreshing compared to more linear survival titles. Exploration is easily one of the game's greatest strengths. Each procedurally generated world offers a fresh landscape filled with caves, forests, coastlines, hidden treasures, and dangerous enemies waiting to be discovered. Every expedition carries the promise of uncovering rare resources, forgotten secrets, or valuable equipment that helps push progression forward. Sailing to distant islands expands the sense of adventure even further, encouraging pla…

Reminds me of Tinkerlands and Wayward(but easier). Not bad so far. I would say it is worth the $6 i paid. Dev seems to still be updating a bit. As of 07/03/26 couldn't get it running well on Linux. It doesn't claim to work on Linux though. I think it must be running a some .net runtime or something.
