About Fox Goes Hunting ™
Fox Goes Hunting is a combination Shooter and Action-Adventure game where the player is the hungry fox that needs to hunt food (Chickens, Rabbits, etc.). There are large predators (Bears, Wolves, etc.) that the fox must shoot using bullets that are earned as rewards.
The early levels are quite simple to teach the player the game mechanics (using the map, shooting predators, moving around the landscape) and are easy to play. The score for each level is based on how quickly the player completes that level and how many animals are in it. The player can go back to any level to replay it to try for a higher score and/or to earn additional bullets for use in higher levels.
As the player completes levels and advances, there are more and different animals (both target food and large predators), and both types of animals move faster.
The player shoots predators using bullets earned by completing earlier levels, and/or by finding and collecting spinning reward coins.

Playing an adorable fox, you are on the hunt for predators and prey. The predators must be shot with bullets and the prey must be eaten. Shoot enough predators and catch enough prey in an allotted time to advance to the next level. I was hoping that the fox might be getting its revenge by brutally killing huntsmen, but alas he just sticks to African wildlife in the forest. What a leopard, tiger and dinosaur are doing there is never explained but somehow perfectly acceptable. The fox is incredibly cute, as in real life, so full marks there. The other animals are not badly drawn and all resemble their true form but some of the larger animals’ movements are unrealistic and look awkward. That would make this worse than shovelware -- it's an [i]asset flip[/i]. There are 14 "levels" in which you'll be spawned into the same map and instructed to run around and kill everything. Predator and prey animals will spawn around the map, and you have to play tag with the prey animals and shoot the predator animals with bullets (because foxes can do that I guess). The different animals have (very) slightly different behaviors. The map is actually kind of large, so you have to use a minimap to find the next target. Once in a while you wait for something interesting to come along on steam and then.............. you find it. If there was any cheap indi game worth having, this is it! So simple to play and the aim of the game is easy. All you need to do is look for various animals in the play area to hunt or eat before your health bar reaches zero percent. The game does have a level system. For example in level one you have to find three animals to eat before you progress to the next level. As you go through the next levels you discover larger animals or 'predators' which require you to shoot bullets at them at a few times then you can eat them although i'm not really sure how a fox can shoot bullets but it's just a game! The game itself is very nice and the graphics are cute with nice music too but not much in the way of nice interactive menus. Very basic menu system and the game only plays in a small to medium window size screen and you can play with a controller or keyboard.2 found this helpful
